2016 Comedy Festival
Dartmouth’s 10th Comedy Festival
8-12 March 2016
"The Flavel is delighted to announce that cracking comedy will be bigger and better next year as it is our 10th Comedy Festival in March.
There is an amazing lineup, which we are really very chuffed with, and one which is guaranteed to please all – we think!
We are delighted to have Gary Delaney back, as he went down a storm last time he was here, on Tuesday 8 March. He is the master of one liners, and quite excellent. Then we have a Gala night tribute to Rik Mayall courtesy of Peter Richardson, who is producing the film especially for us. There are a limited number of special tickets to include a supper at the Seahorse restaurant after the show for £80, but better be quick! There may, or may not, be special guests!
After that on Thursday 10 March, Peter’s son Red Richardson will be doing his thing in Café Alf Resco…one to look out for and here will be supper available, if you book in advance. Steve Hall is one of the trio ‘We are Klang’ (which also includes Greg Davies, who we have had before, not that we are name dropping!) and he brings his show Zebra to the Flavel also on 10 March..apparantly he is quite good!
Shazia Mirza will be telling us why the Kardashians made her become a jihadi bride on Friday 11 March, and she will have you in fits as she tells you why she cannot find anyone to marry.
Saturday 12 March sees two shows, a family friendly Disco with Patrick Monahan, the hardest working comedian on the circuit, topped off with Rob Beckett – Mouth of the South. His mum was a horse and his dad drank lots of milk, which is why he has such smashing teeth!
All available to see in DARTMOUTH!!! Amazeballs…
Tickets available now for Christmas presents and for you…so visit the Flavel in Dartmouth, or go online at www.theflavel.org.uk and get booking!"

GARY DELANEY: THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT GARY
.and that something is he likes to write jokes. An awful lot of them. Also he appears to have some jizz in his hair. Gary thinks a good joke should be like a drunk Glaswegian, short and punchy. Great for people who like lots of jokes but also fun for people who enjoy getting offended by jokes too. more

SHAZIA MIRZA - THE KARDASHIANS MADE ME DO IT
'My mum can't find me anyone to marry. My friend Matthew looks at me with great concern and says, "You're not thinking of becoming a Jihadi Bride are you?" Would I do that? The weather in Britain isn't great, and the sunsets and landscape in Syria are meant to be very romantic... I' d get a husband, wouldn' t have to work, and would definitely get a place in heaven. Yes I'd miss my hair straighteners and hot pants, but that's a small price to pay.' more
