Dartmouth Academy is offering parents and members of the community the chance to have a sneak peak at the new Academy buildings.
The Academy are organising special tours for parents and members of the community in April to have a look inside the new £8.5million complex of buildings.
The state of the art buildings include a new purpose built library, a commercial restaurant, known as ‘The View’, a brand new presentation theatre called ‘The Cube’, the latest Wi-Fi and state of the art connectivity throughout the site.
The tours will take place on Wednesday April 16th at 2:30pm and 4pm, Thursday April 17th at 3.30pm and 5pm and Saturday April 19th at 11am and 1pm.
The old Academy buildings were built in 1974, and Principal Nick Hindmarsh described the new build as ‘a school for a new generation’.
“This is a very exciting time for everyone at the Academy and we are delighted to offer the community the chance to see why,” he said. “These new buildings are state of the art, are designed to aid the education of our children and are fit for an Academy which is on a trajectory of rapid improvement.
“These tours are an exclusive sneak peak and will only be able to accommodate a limited amount of people, so if you are interested in a tour, get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
If you would like to attend one of the above tours, please register your interest with Suzi Wooldridge, Communications Manager, on 01803 839710 or by emailing suzi.wooldridge@dartmouthacademy.org.uk. Due to Health and Safety reasons, only registered guests will be able to be admitted on the tour.
