In 2014, we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the building of the 80 foot/24m Daymark. Built in 1864 by the Dartmouth Harbour Commissioners as a guide to mariners to the position of the harbour entrance. It is visible for many miles out to sea. more

Rupert D’Oyly Carte and his wife, Lady Dorothy, adopted a novel approach to holiday house hunting back in the 1920s. They were sailing their yacht between Brixham and Dartmouth and passed pretty Pudcombe Cove; they liked it so much they bought it. more
