Radio Dart - local radio station opens new Café Lounge
Opening Friday 16th May at 12.30pm
Radio Dart launched in 2013 and began broadcasting a beautiful blend of melodic music, 24 hours 7 days a week.
The team designed a web site and DJ/Broadcaster, Stephen Kearney , uploaded music and gently started interviewing local people, national celebrities, business leaders and politicians about their lives, concerns and aspirations for communities they connect with. Their music choices added richness and diversity to the Radio Dart sound.
The intention was to create a space where people felt at ease to relax, work, meet, enjoy good music, and be refreshed with healthy, fresh foods and juices, tasty teas and coffees, good wines and beers: a feel-good place offering holiday visitors an experience to remind them of Dartmouth every time as a “must visit” destination.
Located at 5 Higher Street Dartmouth in one of the oldest, iconic, and ornate buildings in the town - now beautifully restored after a devastating fire - Radio Dart Café Lounge will be open year round, serving up a great blend of entertainment and hospitality from 8 in the morning until 11 in the evening.
The amazing sound and vision system built by local craftsman Peter Goss and technical experts Pyramid Sound will make an impact that visitors will surely remember. Once back home, they can stay tuned in to the sounds and voices of Dartmouth and spread the word about their fantastic holiday, the people they met and the sights and sounds of our beautiful town.
