The Garden House is a beautiful garden steeped in history and set in a tranquil Devon valley with a diverse plant collection of nearly 6,000 varieties. Wonderful examples of naturalistic planting can be found at the Acer Glade, Wildflower and Bulb Meadows and Cottage Garden. The Jubilee Arboretum has a lake, bridges and tumbling water, and there’s even a Magic Circle of standing stones. There’s also an Ovals Garden which links to the Bowling Green Terrace above and Camelia Walk.
Finish off at the café for a local dressed crab salad or cream tea. Parking is available. Assistance dogs only. The gardens are open from 10.30am to 5pm.
