The South Devon Arts Centre (SDAC) provides the local community with a multi-functional creative space where both performers and audience members can enjoy a huge range of entertainment, exhibitions and experiences.
The people behind the project are voluntary, dedicating their time to bringing some great events to the community.
While all our directors donate their time, the centre has also brought eleven much needed part-time jobs to the area, and provides local and new artists the opportunity to have their work seen by thousands of people.
Since its launch SDAC has held some incredible events including live music nights featuring a huge range of folk, rock, jazz, ska and pop bands, top class theatre from National Theatre playwright Peter Oswald and Another Story Theatre Company, poetry night with Warwick Prize winner Alice Oswald, and comedy shows featuring top names such as Arthur Smith and Tony Hawks.
We have also offered our space to a number of local community groups and charities, and have hosted many private parties and conferences.
The South Devon Arts Centre is also available to hire and has everything you need to make your event a truly memorable one. Whether it's a private party, promoter-led event or meeting, we provide the best facilties in south Devon.
