Hope Cottage is a beautifully furnished 3 bedroom south facing terraced cottage which is located on the Ferry Slip where Dartmouth's historic Lower Ferry crosses the River Dart between Dartmouth and Kingswear. The Cottage has a strong nautical flavour throughout, reminding you that you are at the heart of one of the most beautiful natural harbours in England. The property was formerly an Inn known as the Marine Tavern which has been lovingly converted into a stylish and comfortable cottage. It overlooks Bayards Cove, one of the oldest parts of Dartmouth. This is where the original Pilgrim Fathers first sailed on the Mayflower for the Americas and it is also where the award winning 70's TV series, the Onedin Line was filmed. All rooms in the house offer outstanding views of the River Dart towards the Dartmouth Castle and out to sea. This really is a very special cottage that is steeped in history and that offers a superb break away by the stunning waters of the River Dart.
Living
The lounge has been decorated using soft, cream tones with brighter colours being provided by the beautiful cushions, rugs and pictures highlighting the different areas of the room.
Kitchen/Dining
The open plan kitchen diner is a light a spacious room that is great for entertaining. The rustic, country feel to this well equipped kitchen and the superb views makes it an ideal place for leisurely dining. In the dining area is a dining table and six chairs.

There are three gorgeous bedrooms upstairs, two doubles and a twin. Decorated in calming neutral colours, all three bedrooms are spacious and provide ample storage space.
Outside
The access pathway known in Dartmouth as the "Rope Walk" is south facing and can accommodate a bistro table and chairs so you can sit and watch the world go by!
