Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hind at Brixham is a full-sized replica of one of the UK’s most iconic ships, and a feature of Brixham Harbour for more than fifty years. Last year it changed ownership and acquired a new resident called Sid the skeleton who hangs out in the crow’s nest. Onboard visitors can experience life in Drake’s time with many interactive exhibitions. New activities for 2016 include a Sid’s Stamps clue-solving activity and a scary-sounding Walk the Plank challenge on the Great Cabin Balcony.
From Saturday March 19 the ship is open every day from 10am to 4.30pm, with extended hours during school holidays.
Admission is £7 for adults, £5 for children and family tickets are available. For more information see www.goldenhind.co.uk
