Dartmouth soldier, Cayle Royce, who lost both legs and suffered other dreadful injuries in a bomb blast in May 2012 during a tour with the Brigade Reconnaissance Force in Afghanistan, is about to embark on a gruelling 3,000 mile row across the Atlantic in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Cayle is joining another amputee soldier and two able-bodied comrades to raise money for HELP FOR HEROES. The Row begins on December 2nd.
Cayle made the national papers last week when he met the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh with the Duke joking that he should put wheels on his prosthetic limbs 'to get around more easily'. See more at:
Their challenge is part of the Row2Recovery initiative which has raised over £1m for injured troops. Read more about their challenge on the Official Challenge website via this link.
