Come on a rocktastic experience! Search for animals living in rock pools, and discover adorable anemones, brave barnacles, cheeky crabs, gruesome gastropods, lazy limpets and more. Find out what makes these creatures so special! Sensible outdoor clothing and footwear essential. Bat Watch every Monday and Thursday from 28th July until 28th August (times vary with the seasons, please contact us nearer the time)
Explore the night-time world of these magical creatures. Watch them emerge from their roosts, follow their foraging routes and use our bat detectors to hear their weird and wonderful calls. What Lurks Beneath? every Monday from 28th July to 25th August, 2pm-4pm
From scorpions to snails, or damsels to dragons, there are lots of exciting creatures to discover on a pond dip in Slapton Ley. Meet at the Beach Trailer • Wellies recommended but can be hired if prior notice is given • I.D. guides will be available for purchase
Secret World of Wildlife every Wednesday from 30th July to 27th August, 2pm-4pm
Lying under logs and hiding in bushes, minibeasts can be found all around the nature reserve. Join us on an adventure to discover the best beetles, superb spiders, weird woodlice and more, and find out why our lives depend on them! Secretive Dormice Wed 6th, 13th and 27th August, 10am-12 noon

Bird in the Hand Saturday 26th July, 8.00am-10am
Get up close and personal with some of our feathered friends by viewing the bird-ringing operation manned by the Devon Bird Watching & Preservation Society. Then join us on a walk through a sanctuary area to watch these birds in flight.

Nature Trail Orienteering Every Monday 28th July until 25th August 10am-12 noon
Discover the hidden Nature and Wildlife Trail at Strete Gate. Use your best map reading skills to discover all about its wildlife and history and see if you can solve a tricky puzzle at the end!

Trek into the Wilderness every Tuesday from 29th July until 26th August 10-12 noon

Seashore Adventure every Thursday from 31st July until 28th August, 2-4pm
Come on an exciting Seashore Adventure afternoon! Imagine being shipwrecked on a faraway island and use your very best survival skills to stay alive. Learn how to light a fire without matches, and maybe cook a tasty snack! Meet at the Strete Gate Car Park • Sensible outdoor clothing and footwear recommended
The Big Beach Clean Saturday 20th September, 10am-1pm
Join us on Slapton Sands to help clean up our beautiful coastline. Meet in the middle car park on Slapton Sands (free parking) • Gardening gloves useful • Sensible outdoor clothing and footwear recommended
Beach Activities Weekends in July and every day except Friday during the school summer holidays, 12 noon-4pm
