This Christmas, Cafe Alf Resco, along with a host of other Dartmouth shops and businesses, have organised another free children's activity - “A Christmas Robin Hunt”.
12 adorable knitted Robins, all individually numbered & sporting their winter hats, have been carefully hidden amongst the window displays of shops and businesses throughout Lower St, Higher St and Newcomen Road. The lucky winner will win a fantastic handmade Christmas Chocolate scene courtesy of local, master chocolatiers, Cockington Chocolate Company.
To be in with a chance to win, pick up a free entry from Alf’s, Pillars newsagents or the Visitor Information Centre in Mayor’s Avenue. Look carefully in all the windows in Lower St, Higher St & Newcomen Road and once a cute Robin has been spotted, write down the name of the business next to the corresponding number on the entry form. Once all 12 Robins have been found and the form has been completed, the entries can be posted into one of the entry boxes which can be found at Alf’s or in Pillars newsagents on Lower St.
These cute little Robins have been knitted by Devon based business, A Little Knit of Heaven, who sell handmade crocheted and knitted critters through their shop on Etsy.
The competition runs from Friday 24th November until 7th January, entry is free and the winner will be contacted on 10th January.
Why not start the hunt at Alf’s - where not only can one pick up an entry form but there’ll be festive colouring and lots of festive treats to enjoy too. From mulled wine, festive flapjacks and toasted Italian Panettone, plus a range of chocolate goodies and of course mince pies with homemade brandy butter! Or simply relax with an Italian fresh ground coffee, followed by an Alf’s full English or try one of their award winning granolas or Kate’s eagerly awaited Christmas marmalade
