South West Coast Path Challenge - Love it? Walk it? Protect It.
The South West Coast Path may be free to access but it costs at least £1,000 to maintain just 1 mile and this funding is in decline, which may threaten its future. So, if you love it, help to protect it.
Once again, this October The South West Coast Path Association are partnering with the National Trust to raise funds for much needed improvement and repair projects to our beautiful Coast Path, which is enjoyed by millions of visitors every year.
Step up to the South West Coast Path Challenge this October. Join the likes of Alex Polizzi and Monty Halls and pledge to walk or run between 1 mile to 630 miles, along the UK’s best loved national trail. What will your challenge be?
Patron Monty Halls loves the Coast Path and says, “This is one of the most magical trails in Europe and a great way to get into nature. The October Challenge is one of the ways that we can do that and raise money. I’d encourage everyone to create their own challenge, to get out there and enjoy the Path and raise a bit of money while you do it."
It doesn’t matter how fit you are – there’s a walk to suit all ages and levels of ability from a seafront stroll to a clifftop climb– every mile counts! Sign up your friends, school, business, colleagues or family and create your own bespoke Challenge on the Coast Path - any distance, any location.
Help to set a new record for the number of miles clocked up on the South West Coast Path in one month while raising funds for path improvement projects on some of your favourites stretches of coastline.
It costs just £10 to take part in the Challenge, which helps us to cover the cost of logistics and sending you your registration pack in the post containing your Challenge 2016 t-shirt!
