Plymouth Seafood Festival is back for its 5th year and is set to bring The Barbican and Sutton Harbour alive with entertainment, activities and dishes to celebrate the city’s fantastic caught seafood.
Plymouth is the first city in the world to be awarded the Fish2Fork Blue City status for its commitment to sourcing sustainable fish. Over Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September from 10am till 5pm there will be opportunities to watch inspirational regional and celebrity chefs delight you with their tantalising dishes at the Cookery Theatre, wonder the array of local food and craft stands and be entertained with the foot stomping Shanty bands who will be performing throughout the weekend.

Catch of the Day and The Plymouth Fish Auction: Sunday - 2.45pm (approx.)
Ben Squires and his team from The Boathouse Café will be taking centre stage and keeping the whole family entertained for the rest of the afternoon. From 2.45pm at the Cookery Theatre Ben will showcase the catch of the day providing useful tips and educational information to keep young and old alike entertained.
Following after and back for a 2nd year, The Plymouth Fish Auction will be on hand to bring you fresh fish caught by Ben that morning. Members of the public will have an opportunity to bid on the best fish the seas of the sound have to offer - 25% of the income generated will be given to the Fishermen’s Mission charity.
Dan the Fishman The Parade – Stand 21 & 22
Dan the fishman and crew will be cooking up a storm with treats from the deep throughout the weekend. Taste the finest Devon lobsters, crabs and local sustainably sourced fish. Free Children's seafood cooking workshops will be on hand to keep the little ones entertained throughout the weekend. Come and visit his stand and share his fish magic and passion.
Crabbing Competition: Sunday - 11am and 3pm - Commercial Wharf
Keep the kids entertained with the ever popular crabbing competition, competitors will go head to head to see who can catch the largest crab and the most crabs in a bucket. Prizes will be presented at the cookery stage at 4pm.
Don't miss The Chef Stage Programme with a wide range of top local seafood chefs and a wide array of food and drink traders will line the streets, tempting visitors with a wide range of local produce.
