Folk at the Flavel continues with one of the best bands in the UK. Formed in 2008 Faustus features three prominent UK folk musicians.
Benji Kirkpatrick is a member of the legendary Bellowhead and has featured in Seth Lakeman and Maddy Prior's bands. Benji is a multi-instrumentalist specialising in guitar, bouzouki and banjo. Saul Rose is the front man of eight piece dance band Whapweasel and recently had a year playing Songman in War Horse. He is regarded as one of the best melodeon players in the UK. Fiddle player Paul Sartin is also a member of Bellowhead and is one half of the BBC Radio 2 Folk awards nominees Belshazzars Feast.
Between them Faustus have racked up an impressive number of nominations at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards including best group. They have made two well received albums, "Faustus" and "Broken Down Gentlemen". Faustus promise a great evening of music rooted in the English tradition with great storytelling but presented in a modern and exciting way including fantastic three part harmonies.
