2020 DEVON COUNTY SHOW CANCELLED
Did you know that Devon County Show 2020 will be our 125th Show? To mark this momentous
milestone in our history, we've got lots of exciting plans.
To celebrate this milestone, as well as the Women’s Institute’s 100th anniversary and the Exeter Knutty Knitters 10th anniversary, the Show organisers are planning an ambitious Guinness World Record attempt - to beat the Longest Knitted Bunting World Record.
Every day there's a packed programme of entertainment in the Main Arena. This year, taking centre stage, will be the Dancing Diggers, a collection of JCB Diggers and Robot Skidsters performing daredevil antics and formation dancing.
Get up close and personal with over 2,000 animals!
At Devon County Show we are proud of our amazing livestock competitions. With over 1,500 sheep, 500 cattle, 100 pigs, 150 goats and 75 alpacas you can wander the through the livestock area and find over 100 rare and minority breeds. We are extremely proud also to play host to the South Devon Herd Book Society's National Show at our 2020 event.
The biggest Food Fair in Devon
Enjoy the most mouthwatering food and drink the West Country has to offer at this year's Show. With an incredible array of food to snack on, food to take home, food to try and food to watch, foodies will not be disappointed. Many of our food stands cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free diets. Visit the Food & Drink Pavilion for the best of the west and wander down the new Food Walk for something a bit different.
For all things crafty and gardening head to the Crafts & Gardens Pavilion
Bigger than a Premier League football pitch this giant marquee is home to an array of craft stands, a floral art competition, home baking competitions and flower and gardening stands. This year, it will also be home to our world's longest ever knitted bunting which will comprise 32,000 flags and will be 8kms long! Look out, too, for the Gardening Roadshow, a new feature which will be hosted by gardening writer and broadcaster Martin Fish.
Get hands on with our award winning Children's Farm
Mill some flour and bake a bread roll - Watch chicks hatch - Enjoy the antics of the piglets - Press apples and enjoy a glass of fresh apple juice - Plant some seeds and take away the pots to see the plants grow at home - Sit on a tractor!
Horses and Ponies in all shapes and sizes!
From the magnificent heavy horses to the super cute Shetland ponies, Devon County Show plays host to over 1,000 equines over the three days. Don't miss the top class Showjumping in the Main Arena, fast and furious scurry racing, inter hunt relay competition and shetland pony racing!
Vintage Tractors & Steam Engines
Our incredible display of Vintage Tractors and Steam Engines dates back to 1900's with over 100 exhibits.
One of the biggest dog shows in the West County
Welcoming over 600 dogs, 130 different breeds and a chance to qualify for Crufts, our dog show is a must see part of the day. Watch the pampered pooches compete for Best in Show.
