The countdown to the Dart Music Festival 2019 has begun!
Taking place on 10th, 11th and 12th of May, the Festival hosts over 100 acts performing in over 15 venues situated all around the town. Our acts perform in venues as unique as an ancient fort, the ramparts of old castle walls, a fisherman’s church, an 11th century church, the river and, of course, our Victorian Bandstand. There are also open-air street-based performances making for a constant buzz of enjoyment.
Your one-stop-shop for all things Dart Music Festival is our wonderfully informative and user friendly website: https://www.dartmusicfestival.co.uk. It provides you with everything you need to know about this year’s event – our extremely popular ‘Eat, Stay, Shop’ page on the website provides all you need to know about where to go, and what to do while you are in town. You can also find sections on how and where to buy one of our iconic yellow programmes, where to buy our much sought after DMF branded merchandise, how to become a ‘Festival Friend’, how the music festival Foundation continues the festival’s legacy throughout the year, and the story of how the very first Dart Music Festival came about all those years ago.
If you want to get ahead of the curve and have a listen to some of the bands featuring in this year’s event then why not subscribe to our ‘Dart Music Festival’ YouTube channel, or follow our ‘Dart Music Festival 2019’ Spotify playlist. That way you can decide who your new favourite band is before you even get here, and can sing along to your new favourite songs when you see them live in May.
Once again we will be providing all of the pubs with our branded collectable and most importantly REUSEABLE plastic glasses. Each plastic pint glass is branded with the Dart Music Festival logo and can be kept and re-used throughout the event and then taken home afterwards as a memento. We will also be retaining our partnership with Devon Contract Waste and their fabulous Zero to Landfill ethos, helping to further reduce Dart Music Festival’s carbon footprint.
For those of you who like to go paper-free, why not use our subscription service on the website which allows you to access the times and venues of the acts from your electronic devices. For further details please check out the website: https://www.dartmusicfestival.co.uk
As always, we are sticking to our ethos of ‘Music For All’ meaning that everyone can enjoy the music completely free of charge. However, the £70,000 costs to put the festival on do mount up, and you can contribute by buying becoming a sponsor, a ‘Festival Friend’, or simply by throwing some money in a collection bucket when you see one. You can also show your support by purchasing DMF branded t-shirts, hoodies, rugby shirts, bags and the fantastically cuddly Dart Music Festival teddy bear!
If you want to roll your sleeves up and get more involved, we are always on the look-out for willing volunteers to help us run the event – please let us know if you can help with collecting during the concerts, stewarding, running a venue, selling merchandise or generally mucking in – it’s all greatly appreciated, and it is so much fun!
