Brixham Heritage Sailing Regatta has its roots in Sailing Trawler races held in Torbay in the early 1800’s. It has been traditionally held on the Friday and Saturday of the late May Bank Holiday, however after the success of 2015 this has been changed for the last 2 years to the Saturday and Sunday.
So arriving in Brixham can be on the (Thursday) Friday or Saturday with the Fish Supper and Fireworks on the Saturday evening and the Skippers briefing, Regatta, Prize Giving and Raffle on the Sunday. It also leaves the Bank Holiday Monday for crews to sail the boats home.
