Our Theme is Victory in Europe & Far East
We Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the End of WW11
Lupton House is a lovely historical Grade 2 listed building situated close to Brixham.
On August the 8th and 9th the house and magnificent grounds will once again become host to a 1940's themed weekend. Journey back in time and experience a re-enactment with loads of family fun.
As well as many people getting in the mood with period costume, we also have displays of military vehicles, educational talks and demonstrations, craft stalls, vintage fair, vintage vehicles plus lots more, creating a fun weekend for all ages!
Luptons own tea rooms and Bar (from 12 mid day) will be open during both days.
Hot food is also available in our Victory Party Seating area in the courtyard.
Displays and Crafts will be inside Lupton House itself,
so why not come and enjoy the period surroundings
The weekend highlight is a Victory Dance on Saturday evening.
Dress code is strictly 1940's and there is a fully licensed bar and food will be available.
We also have live music throughout the days with singer Sandy Sparkle, rendering all the 'Forces Sweetheart' favourites.

A little History
The 1940′s weekend aims to show off the many heritage features that still remain in the house and gardens, as well as showing the important role Lupton House played in WW2 and in particular the D-Day landings of 1944.Lupton House was used by the US Army from 1943 as a Sub-area Headquarters for the Training of troops for Operation Overlord,. Lupton House became Camp K6,in Marshalling Area K. Lupton had Accommodation for 2,500 Troops and 355 Vehicles We aim to tell you the exciting story of the Training of troops, and the part Lupton House played in the Invasion of Normandy June 1944.
