Thomas Newcomen

A good piece about Thomas Newcomen whose important invention of the steam engine "Changed the World" but it would have more impact if instead of saying - Britain and elsewhere - it said; many countries in Europe and America, where they were used for pumping water out of mines. Henry Ford felt the engine was so important that he bought six of the original ones remaining in the early 20th century. They are now in American museums.
